headed out to East Matagorda Bay around
6:15 AM with Capt. Bill in charge. The
group was back in by 10:30 AM with
30 trout 18-21" caught on Roach
Bass Assassins.

John Gamble, John Wallace, Jessie Waite,
and Paul Neel fished the Diversion Channel
with Capt. Bill and caught this nice table
of trout. These fish were caught on
Glow Bass Assassins and measured up to 24".
Not bad for a day's work....

with a Corkie while wading with Capt. Bill
over in East Matagorda Bay.

Lowell Everitt and Craig Rowley headed out at
6:30 AM from the Matagorda Harbor with Capt. Bill
in the driver's seat. Destination today looked like
East Matagorda Bay to do some wading for
big trout. Prophecy fulfilled with 13 trout
17-27" and 4 sand trout caught on
Roach Bass Assassins. Fish were cleaned
and bagged by 2:00 PM and Lowell along
with Craig were headed for the house.

David Niles took Thanksgiving week to
spend time fishing with Capt. Bill. They had
some engine problems as most guides do
from time to time. Today David reeled
in these 10 trout and 3 reds while drifting
East Matagorda Bay and throwing Bass Assassin's
Shrimp Cocktail Drunk Monkey flavor on
1/4 oz. lead heads.
11/22/06 | 
Bobby Elmore and Capt. Bill took it over
to West Matagorda Bay around 7:00 AM.
They did the catch and release thing with
30-50 trout hitting the boat and being
released to swim another day. Bobby did
keep 10 trout 16-21" which he caught
on Glow Bass Assassins. The two were
back at the dock by 11:30 AM.
11/17/06 | 
Mearl Jones and Danny Holmes came down
to fish with Capt. Bill and they headed
out at 6:00 AM over to West Matagorda
Bay to do some drifting. They caught
10 trout 16-17" and 6 reds 21-25"
all on Roach Bass Assassins. The wind
kicked up so they left the bay and
headed back to the dock at 1:00 PM.

Warren Merriman, Mark Pickering, and
Randy Mobley headed over to East Matagorda Bay
around 6:00 AM to find the conditions
not suitable so they took it over to
West Bay to catch their 15 trout 16-18"
and 8 reds 21-24" on Roach Bass Assassins.
They were back in by 2:15 PM to call it a day.

John's trout was caught on a Rainbow Trout
Bass Assassin. John's group ended their fishing day
with 9 trout, 1 red, and 1 flounder even
though they fought dirty water and
strong winds coming and going.

David Trevino and Tony Kawczynski departed
the Matagorda Harbor with Capt. Bill
at 5:30 AM headed over to East Matagorda Bay
to do a little wade fishing. They threw
Roach Assassins and caught 19 trout 16-22 inches.
The group was back at the dock by 1:30 PM
to clean their catch.

Eric and Darrell Donaldson, Paul Erwin,
and William Grimsinger waded and drifted
East Matagorda Bay with Capt. Bill
while throwing Glow Bass Assassins and
shrimptails. This group landed 35 trout
16-20" and 3 reds 21-23".

Randy and Linda Monson took a trip out to
East Matagorda Bay with Capt. Bill in the
lead. They drifted over scattered shell and
threw Glow Bass Assassins to catch their
limits of trout by 8:30 AM. They were
happy campers as Capt. Bill cleaned their
20 trout ranging from 17-20 inches.

and Dickie Pustejovsky on the boat today.
They waded and drifted East Matagorda Bay
to catch 30 trout and 1 red on GCRCH
She Dogs and Roach Bass Assassins.

Jason Woods, Rick Balzumati, and Bob Carroll
headed towards East Matagorda Bay with
Capt. Bill in the lead. They waded and drifted
to catch their 30 trout up to 21" and 6 reds
up to 24". Baits today were top waters
and plastics.

impressive 22-23" trout on their first
wade of the day with Capt. Bill. This
group was fishing East Matagorda Bay
and throwing GCRCH She Dogs.

Larry Gerdes came down to fish with

nice 25" trout. Larry was wade
fishing and throwing top waters.

Suzanne Culver and Margaret Dobbs took
some time to do a little wade fishing over in
West Matagorda Bay with Capt. Bill. The two
ladies threw Roach and Plum Bass Assassins
to catch their 20 trout 16-18" along with
2 reds and a black drum.

Ralph Aulds came down to fish with Capt. Bill
along with a couple of his buddies, Larry Gerdes
and Don Hammons. They managed to catch
this nice display of fish with the bite coming
on later in the day.

David Niles took the day to fish with
Capt. Bill. The two headed over to East Matagorda
Bay despite high winds and off-colored water.
They threw the new Bass Assassin cork
painted black along with Roach Assassins.
By noon the two had loaded up eight
trout 15 1/2-23" and were happy to do
that well despite conditions.

Capt. Bill caught this nice 29 1/2" trout
on a plum shrimp tail which he released
to swim another day. He was fishing
with Jeff Haas and group. They ended
up with 25 trout by the end of the day.

Michael Faichtinger came down with
Mike Grigar to spend some time fishing with
Capt. Bill. Conditions on the water were
lousy with changing wind directions and
thunderstorms. Michael managed to catch this
nice 26 1/2" trout to send to the
taxidermist as decoration for his wall.

Marvin and Nathan Kuhn ventured out to
East Matagorda Bay early with Capt. Bill
finally settling on a favorite reef that
was not taken. They fished hard and
brought in 20 trout 16-23", 1 red 22",
and a flounder 16". Baits thrown were
Morning Glory, Plum, and Roach Bass Assassins.

Steve, Chris, and Brad Wells headed on
over to East Matagorda Bay with Capt. Bill
bright and early. Southwest winds and
dirty water hampered fishing somewhat but
these fishermen stuck it out to bring in
19 trout 17-26" caught on Roach Bass Assassins.
They hauled it in around noon because of
thunderstorms.

Larry Golden and Ken Wright loaded up
with Capt. Bill and headed over to
East Matagorda Bay around 5:30 AM.
By 11:00 AM they had their 20 trout
16-22" all caught on Roach Bass Assassins
and 808 Mirrolures.

Lowell Everitt and Brian Cummings shared
a day fishing with Capt. Bill. They headed
out to East Matagorda Bay around 5:30 AM
armed with Roach Bass Assassins and boxed
20 trout 17-23". The duo was headed home
by lunch with their catch.

Mike Grigar, Jimmy Daniels, Kenny Frank, and
Wayne Bowen headed out about 5:30 AM
with Capt. Bill on their way to East Matagorda
Bay. They had a great day with 34 trout
of which 6 were 23-24". Kenny Frank had a
trout 25 1/2", Mike lost one over 28", and
Capt. Bill lost one over 30". They were
throwing Firetiger and Roach Bass Assassins
and called it quits by 12:30 PM.

Aaron Faas caught this 28 inch trout over in
East Matagorda Bay while fishing with Capt. Bill.
This big trout will be decorating his wall.

Sid, Randy, Aaron, David, and Bob Faas left from
the Matagorda Harbor early headed out to
East Matagorda Bay to do some fishing with
Capt. Bill. After some hard casting this group
checked the cooler to find 33 trout ranging
from 16-28 inches along with 2 reds
24-25 inches. The bait thrown today were Firetiger
and Roach Bass Assassins. This team was off
the water by 2:00 PM.

Pat McCormick, Steve Wiesel, and Bill Fickes
headed out of the Matagorda Harbor around 5:45 AM
with Capt. Bill towards East Matagorda Bay to try their
luck at some wading and drifting. After returning to the
dock at 2:00 PM this group took home 30 trout,
15 1/2-24". All these fish were caught on Firetiger
Bass Assassins. Pat had a Garcia push button reel
with a 2 to 1 gear ratio and managed to catch his
limit with 1 trout 24" and another breaking his line.

Barry Shepard, Jr. ventured over to East Matagorda
Bay for some wade fishing with Capt. Bill.
Bait of choice today was Roach Bass Assassins
and catch here you see a 27 1/2" and
24" red along with a 23" trout. Water
was dirty and fishing was slow.

Mark and Mason Switzer, Kevin Krampitz, and
Steve Pawlowski headed out early to East Matagorda Bay
to do a little fishing with Capt. Bill. Despite
the record breaking temperature the group managed to
load up 30 trout 16-22" while throwing Roach
Assassins. They were happy to get in,
clean their fish, and hit some cool degrees.
A real fun group of guys.

Kenneth Braden and Chris Skotak braved the
conditions today leaving the dock at 5:30 AM
with Capt. Bill headed to East Matagorda Bay.
However, the heavy storms and chocolate milk
water only dampened fishing for them as they
were able to pull out 20 trout 16-21 inches.
These guys threw Firetiger and Roach Bass Assassins
to catch these fish and were back at the dock
by 10:30 AM.

Lowell Everitt caught this 29 1/2" trout
while fishing with Capt. Bill over in
East Matagorda Bay. This monster was caught
on a Roach Bass Assassin. The picture
was held back for a magazine cover.
6/13/06 | 
Andre Jeansonne and Todd Spruiell waded
and drifted East Matagorda Bay with Capt. Bill
to catch 14 trout with the smallest 17".
Included in this catch were 2-24 inchers and
1-25 incher. These fishermen threw Roach
Bass Assassins to catch their fish today.
