Jim, James "Jr.", and M. J. Powell waded East Matagorda Bay with me today. Bait choice was Roach Bass Assassins keying in on glass minnows. Total catch equaled 25 trout, 16-20", with wind out of the southwest at 20 mph. 5/7/10 M. J. Powell Trip | Lowell Everitt, Charlie Paradoski, and Brian Cummings waded West Matagorda Bay throwing Roach Bass Assassins. Catch today was 30 trout, 16-20". We saw plentiful glass minnows and sharks with big teeth. Not too comforting for a "country boy". 5/6/10 Lowell Everitt Trip |

David Hill, Michael Hagg, and Peter Kroll drifted East Matagorda Bay with me today to land these 6 reds, 22-26", and 3 trout, 17-24", all on Drunk Monkey Salt Assassins. Water was extremely dirty and low, probably 3 1/2 -4 ft below normal, and blowing out of the south around 10-15 knots. 3/23/10 Photo 2 David Hill Trip | Shane and Joe Clark, Michael Smith, and Lowell Everitt (not in pic) waded West Matagorda Bay with me today while braving water conditions 2 ft below normal and dirty. These guys toughed it out and threw their Roach Bass Assassins to bring in 15 trout and 1 flounder. 3/19/10 Photo 1 Lowell Everitt Trip |

Left the dock at 6:15 AM with David Trevino and Tony Kawczynski on board. Tried to fish East Matagorda Bay making a circle around Bird Island but found water dirty and tides low. Made a b-line over to West Bay and had 20 trout, 16-20", and 1 red by 9:00 AM all caught on Roach Bass Assassins. 3/13/10 David Trevino Trip | Jesse Alvarado and John Gill shown here with two 27 1/4" reds caught while drifting scattered shell and chunking Roach Bass Assassins in East Matagorda Bay. Great time. 3/11/10 Kevin Alvarado Trip |
Dr. Skip Heath and his 12 year-old son, Trey, drifted East Matagorda Bay with me today along with hefty winds out of the east gusting up to 20+ mph. Water conditions were rough and dirty. Skip and Trey ended their trip with 9 trout, Trey holding up a 26 incher. 2/20/10 Skip Heath Trip | John and Robin Desimio drifted East Matagorda Bay with me today. Water conditions were good with winds out of the south about 10-12 mph. A lot of reds and trout were caught on 3" Chicken-on-a-Chain Salt Assassins with 6 keeper reds, 22-24", and 10 trout, 16-20". Many reds and trout were thrown back which indicates to me we dodged the bullet once again here in East Matagorda Bay. Praise God. 1/19/10 John Desimio Trip |
